My name is Sophie. Some people call me Slope.

I’m an illustrator, visual artist, and picture book maker. I’m based in the corn and bean fields of Illinois where I love to document the humor I see and experience in day to day life. Textured ink lines, gouache, markers, and pencils are my favorite mediums to create quirky characters and nostalgic environments. If I’m not at my desk drawing, you can find me at the lake or cozied up next to my wood stove, book in hand.
